R.I.P. Grandpa




97 and 1/2 years though. That's not too shabby.

97.5 isn't shabby at all, but I'm so sorry for your families loss. Despite age or illness, you can never be fully prepared for the passing of a loved one. You and your family will be in my thoughts.

My condolences as well. I hope they were a happy and fulfilling 97 1/2 years.

Thank you all. I think Grandpa stuck it out as long as he wanted to. He was never one to complain or look forward to death, but I think when his wife passsed last November, that kind of did it. Just a broken heart.
Longevity runs in the family though. His mother lived to be 99 and the final remaining sibling, my Aunt Janet, is still high-kicking it up in Buffalo at 99 and 2 months.
