Bear With Me

I've had to drive into Manhattan twice every day this week, while at the same time installing a webcam on my computer. Hopefully, as soon as this week is over, I'll be able to post video reviews of movies and whatever else enters my mind (which can be a scary place).

I recently got a web cam too. It was easy to install. I had read the Logitech web cams are compatible with Linux, so you don't have to go around recompiling the kernel just to use a web cam. I got the Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX and all I had to do was connect it to a USB port and I was ready to go.

I do not like this trend of people talking on webcams. It is weird - I mean, what's wrong with writing? Unless you are "Reporting Live from Lincoln Center, ___ Back to you Jim" then at least you have a reason. Or if you show clips of yourself watching movies or interviewing people.

Or maybe I am just getting old and am not used to all this newfangled technology.

abe: The Luddite implications of you comment aside, there is nothing wrong with writing at all. However, there are just some times when I (and probably others) do not feel like sitting down and composing, editing, revising....etc... A webcam is a nice easy way to record one's thoughts quickly without all the extra work. Yes, it might end up a bit rambling...but oh well.
